About the job Job duties: Engaging with provinces and territories, maintaining provincial and territorial relationships, taking the lead in their issues management and administering cost recovery programs on their behalf. Liaising with clients and stakeholders to obtain, exchange and clarify data/information, describe policies and program activities, remain abreast of trends and developments, and coordinate input for policy development activities. Conducting horizontal economic, financial or socio-economic research and analysis to provide recommendations and support the evaluation and management of specific policy files or issues, and the development of policy and programs. Analyzing the effect of policy proposals on existing policies and on projects and initiatives; and formulating program and/or policy modifications for review by senior colleagues; and undertaking program assessment and evaluation activities. Preparing, and contributing to the development of discussion, position and policy papers, briefing notes and presentations; communicating and presenting findings and observations to project teams, colleagues and managers; and coordinating input for the preparation of ministerial correspondence. Participating in project teams; establishing the nature and scope of studies; recommending data/information requirements and policy research/study approaches, analytical methods and objectives; organizing studies; modifying computer applications; and planning, organizing and prioritizing assigned work. Attending branch, departmental and interdepartmental meetings to discuss data/information requirements and results, assess trends, discuss policy issues/files, and analyze the effect of revised policies or programs. ESSENTIAL STAFFING REQUIREMENTS To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements Education The CRA's minimum education standard for the ES group. You must upload your education credentials in the education section of your candidate profile and submit all required documents by the closing date and time of this poster. Failure to do so can result in your application not being considered further. Experience Experience* writing plans, reports, memos, presentations or speaking notes for senior management**. AND Experience* gathering, reviewing and consolidating information in support of negotiations or issues analysis. AND Experience* consulting with internal and/or external stakeholders, managing issues and working collaboratively toward a common goal. Experience is associated with the performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished at the ES-02 level or higher (or equivalent) for a period of no less than 6 cumulative months in the last 2 years. **Senior management is defined as a Director (or equivalent) or above.
Assessment The essential staffing requirements indicated below will be assessed during the process and may be used to identify candidates for positions.
