Human Resources Assistant

Job Overview
Our mill in Trenton, Ontario, which is located on the scenic bank of the Trent River, boasts a 93 year history. We are looking for a dynamic Human Resources Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant supports payroll processing, compensation and benefit administration, records and training management, accounts payable processing and other administrative functions.

Job Responsibilities: verifies the local payroll and processes adjustments as required. As the super user for the payroll system, provides training and support to supervisors and employees. Inputs the weekly schedule into the system. processes employee reimbursements and salary and data changes manages employee training records and assists in the setup of training sessions and with new hire orientations processes invoicing related to employee uniforms, gifts and meals supports health and safety and engagement activities maintains office supplies and equipment, processes mail and performs other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience is preferred Must have a payroll experience
