Test Center Monitor ISANS is seeking casual, on-call Test Center Monitor to oversee the CELPIP-General Test, which assesses a general level of English language proficiency and is designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for people applying to immigrate to Canada under the Skilled Workers and Professionals Class, as well as various Provincial Nominee Programs. The Test Center Monitor who oversees all aspects of test delivery on test day and ensures that test center personnel adhere to the procedures outlined in the Test Procedures Manual. The test Center Monitor will also help with test day check-in and oversee test delivery on test day. Reporting to Manager, Support Services the Test Center Monitor will be responsible for Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting with preparation and general maintenance of the testing area and immediate premises Assisting with test taker check-in; e.g., observing the removal and storage of personal belongings Verifying identity and reviewing identification documents of test takers Escorting test takers to and from their workstations on arrival, departure, or washroom breaks Guiding test takers through a microphone check as they are seated Identifying technical errors and assisting test takers with basic hardware- or software-related issues Responding to test taker queries without betraying correct answers or how to score well Enforcing Paragon’s test day rules, monitoring, reporting, and addressing test taker misconduct Collecting and storing test-related materials at the end of the test session Ensuring that tests are uploaded and that all equipment is securely stored following test completion; Ensuring that the test is delivered in a timely manner, including equipment and software checks, and confirming that all members of the test center personnel are readily available; Overseeing all procedures to ensure that the test is delivered in a timely manner; and Understanding the responsibilities of a Paragon Test Day Technician ("Technician") and Paragon Invigilator and be readily available to fulfill these roles when required Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ post-secondary education or equivalent work experience Fluency in speaking, listening to, reading, and writing English Basic computer skills and knowledge Knowledge of how to solve common computer problems and answer computer-related questions on demand Education: Minimum Secondary school education required Terms of Employment Annual Casual Contract, renewable pending funding confirmation Hours of work: Weekend and evening, between 3-18 hours per week as required Commencement Date: ASAP Closing Date: April 14, 2021, 4:00pm.
